Exhausted

We finally got to Lafayette the day before yesterday. We had expected our things to arrive yesterday, as it had been four to five business days since we loaded the truck and they picked it up.

HOWEVER. Our stuff is...still in North Carolina! They have "committed" to having it here by Friday, though we don't know what time on Friday. Gah. So now we're sleeping on body pillows for a couple of nights and drinking canned Starbucks coffee in the mornings.

Blogging, then, will still be light for a while. Today we're going to campus to get office keys, fill out some various paperwork, and join a credit union.

Moving Experiences

2 Board Alley
Cyberhugs to you. And a slice of your favorite cake, and one for Jonathan, to go with your Starbucks blend!

Greetings from MN!

Clancy, I am just catching up on your adventures and discovering that you will be teaching in Lafayette! I'll email you the contact info for an old friend of mine who works there.

moving, awards, books for "how to teach"

Catching up after a nice beach stay:
Don't think I got to say Congrats on all these nice awards you're winning--wowzers!
Moving again--I moved in 01, 03, and 07--don't think I can survive another....
Books--I've used the St. Martin's and the other usual suspects. Before I teach that course again (this coming spring) I'll check to see how much of the original pieces are available on the Web for free---The St. Martin's nuts and bolts pieces are great, but the book seems (may be just my paranoia) to be kind of heavily weighted to citing St. Martin's sources when there may be other/better sources on the same subject...

M.
