How do you pronounce it? (Extra credibility conferred upon you if you're from Belgium and know Dries Buytaert personally.)

I'm surprised you haven't seen the interview with Dries over at Google video. It's from a year or so ago. You'll see that it's definitely not dru-PAHL, and seems to be more like DRUP-el, with a very light pronunciation of the second syllable.

I hadn't seen that at all. I'm glad that issue is finally resolved.

I wanted it to be elegant and long like Nepal, because Drew-ple sounded so abrupt and droopy. However, I'm glad to know the answer.
