My immune system is CRAP
WHEN am I going to start feeling better? Here I sit, on a Friday night, while all my friends are at a party. I'm sneezing constantly, and each sneeze feels like a lawnmower going through my throat and eustachian tubes. My friends are making fun of me because when I talk, I sound like a completely different person--like Kathleen Turner meets Eartha Kitt meets hoarse cheerleader. What is going to knock this virus out? (The doctors did a throat culture and told me that whatever I have is viral, not bacterial, so no antibiotics. I just have to tough it out.)

Your sister in crappy immune systems,
Chris
Thanks for the get-well wish.
Thanks for the get-well wish. I haven't been this sick in many years. Now my cough is worse, and oh yeah, I can't smell or taste anything.
CHRIS!!!!!!!!!
I haven't talked to you in a month of Sundays. I just tried to call your home phone and cell--left a message with your cell voicemail. Sounds like you're sick too; hope you feel better soon. I really want some of my mother's spice tea right now (it's this mixture of Tang, cinnamon, sugar, and some other stuff dissolved in water). When I'm sick, she always brings me spice tea and chicken broth. I'm wondering if I'm going to be sick until I go home on 21 December--if so, guess I'll be getting that spice tea.
Yuk!
That really sucks!
I've had a slight sore throat for weeks and I know it's going to turn into something as soon as the semester ends. Usually, my immune system hangs on til final grades are turned in.
Hope you feel better soon!
Cindy
spice tea
Clancy, My mother makes tea like you mentioned. She calls it Friendship Tea. I love it, too! I've been meaning to make some. Thanks for the memory-jog! I'm pulling the recipe card now to take to the store to get the ingredients. Marcia
