I've been reading a lot of responses to Bush's homophobic, hate-filled spew, including one from Lauren, but Flea's 24 February post is the by far the best, most eloquent. I command you all to read it.

Pretty sad
It's a complete mystery to me why Bush thinks he's defending marriage. The truly conservative response would be not to forbid marriage, but to demand it. Lord knows the couples who contribute to the 50% divorce rate are doing nothing to honor "the sacred basis of marriage."
