How do you make a skating rin
How do you make a skating rink mix without Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" and Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall"? I mean, come on!

If you don't have the songs, you don't include them. :D On the ideal skating rink playlist, I would also have included "Centerfold" by the J. Geils Band, Van Halen's "Jump," and "Billie Jean." Oh, and "Wipeout," since at our skating rink they had this weird falling-down game to that song; apparently whoever could fall down the best and the most times (on purpose) during the song won a Super Rope or some similar prize.
You know, I don't remember hearing Queen or Pink Floyd at the skating rink, now that you mention it. I guess that was a little before my time. Sorry if I'm making you feel old, Darren.

Beastie Boys' "Fight for Your Right"...to partaaaaaaaay! That was a big one at the rink when I was in 6th grade. Also "Push It" by Salt n Pepa. Maybe I'm a few years younger than you? Guessing ages by roller rink hits!

I've been trying to put together a roller rink mix and your list has been a great help. My major roller rink days were in the mid-late 80s, so I have a lot of memories of madonna, michael jackson, and DEBBIE GIBSON!!! "Out of the Blue", "Staying Together", "Shake Your Love", and "Electric Youth" defined my roller days, and Debbie's "Lost in Your Eyes" was a power love ballad that only a seven year-old could fully understand. Also "Wipeout" was big at my skating rink as a game song, "Wully Bully", "Push It", Taylor Dayne's "Let the Music Play", and Shannon's "Let the Music Play". All great roller rink music.
