Memos to Ourselves is an audioblog open to anyone who wants to contribute. So far I'm, uh, underwhelmed by the creativity of the contributors (hear, for example, this post), but I'll keep checking back; an open audioblog is a pretty cool idea. Oh, and I'm wondering how this woman is doing now. Via Feministe.

Gee whiz, after listening to "this woman", I'm a little worried about Betsy.

I listened to her yesterday. I admit I didn't go any further because that was enough to make me think: Jerry Springer of Blogging. Please, I get maudlin enough on my own. Is it supposed to be some sort of acting? Or weird "reality" audioblog?

Yeah, I'm a little perplexed about the message. It sounds like a Crank Yankers-style joke, like she's about to crack up there at the beginning. I wish more people would post stuff and that Betsy's ex would post an update. Memos to Ourselves has the potential to be such an entertaining space, but so far it's not.
