Is anyone else watching this?!

:jawdrop: Wonkette describes Bush as "in semi-hysterics." Indeed! Jeebus, let Charles Gibson talk, why dontcha? Bush is falling apart; it hurts to watch. In comparison, Kerry is making me want to stand up and cheer.

UPDATE: Yes! I'm so glad Gibson picked the question about the environment. The environment has seemed conspicuously absent from the election rhetoric.

I was watching too...

... and boy, was Bush ever ranting. He toned it down a lot during the second half of the debate, but for Pete's sake, you don't just scream at the moderator like that.

I had the same thought on the environment question: "finally. About bloody time, too." I was heartened to see Kerry use the word "Orwellian" during that round.

And what the hell was that about how Kerry's health plan would lead to "rationing"? Possibly the biggest "Huh?" of the evening apart from the invocation of the Dred Scott decision as an example of the kind of non-activist Supreme Court judges Bush would choose.

Oh, and off-topic and a bit belated, but... happy birthday! :D

the idea of Bush as a carnival barker just makes me scared of circus clowns all the more...
