Fetch?
I neeeeeed an FTP program for this iBook. I've searched on here for Fetch, but haven't been able to find it. Does it go by a different name now?
Also, now OpenOffice doesn't open. I start Start OpenOffice.org, and it starts, as does X11, but the actual OpenOffice program doesn't start. It's maddening. I'm going to try restarting to see if that helps... UPDATE: Works now -- but I still need an FTP application.

Geeky Mom
Fugu is a gui ftp program for the mac that I've used once in a while. You can also use sftp from terminal (under Utilities). That's what I use most often. You can even drag and drop your files to the line. I think Fetch now costs money--not much--but if you want something gui that's free, try fugu. Mozilla may also have one, but I'm not sure if it's for the mac.
fetching fetch
Here's the link for Fugu, BTW.
Easy to fetch
Fetch is still around. You can get it here: http://fetchsoftworks.com/
If you have a .edu address you can 'purchase' the software for free. You download it, then enter your educational affiliation etc. and they send you a license for it.
RBrowser
I use RBrowser Lite. Works OK for me.
another good app is transmit...
i have both fetch (which i got from my last educational institution - cant find the licence) and transmit (which is only $30 for the most recent version https://www.panic.com/transmit/buy.html ). transmit picks up where fetch leaves off and has been my primary ftp client for a while now - i love it.
transmit!
I've used both Fetch and Transmit, and I'm a huge fan of Transmit. Very worth the $30. Versiontracker, BTW, is a useful site for finding shareware and freeware.

Hey, Khalil
I just downloaded RBrowser Lite, but I might get Transmit if I don't like it.
