RSI?

Has all the computer use finally caught up with me? All day yesterday, and off and on the day before that, I've had this pain in my right forearm. Could it be repetitive stress injury? I'm guessing not carpal tunnel because the pain is located mostly around my upper forearm, in the muscles closer to the elbow. Jonathan says I should take a break from the computer for a day or two and read some books instead. As I agree that it's a sensible precaution, I might not be blogging for the next couple of days.

:(

Sorry, sweetie. Hope you enjoy your reading and get back soon to tell us about it. I think Krista had something similar (did she call it mouseitis? :))

wristpads

I used to get something like this after I started my programming/research job and had a particularly intense few weeks. It would hurt to open door knobs and things like that. I started using wristpads for both keyboard and mouse compulsively and since then, I haven't had it.

Voice Recognition Software

I'm starting my move to Voice Recognition Software. Dragon Naturally Speaking by Scansoft gets high marks for PC users and iListen by MacSpeech for Macintosh users. The transition is going better than I expected.
