Terrible Take-off on Issues in Writing Program Administration
I should preface this by saying that I don't subscribe to the WPA listserv or read the archives very often, so this isn't meant to address any debates or specific people on the list. These arguments are simply what I imagine might enter the minds of writing program administrators. By the way, sorry about burying it below the fold, but there's horizontal scrolling for the whole page involved if I don't.

Steve Buscemi vs. Citrus-Head: The Thrilla in Manila
I'm going to have to go with Johnny Lemonhead in this round, 10-9, even if I haven't the foggiest idea what he's talking about.
Argh!
My life in a nutshell. I get to play both of those characters.

Earl *and* Lemonhead
Yeah, I was hoping it comes across that I'm actually sympathetic to both positions. I've been thinking a lot lately about administration on account of being on the job market and all, but something tells me I shouldn't put this in my dossier. Or should I? To disrupt the generic conventions of the dossier?
If you haven admin duties,
If you haven admin duties, why would you not put them on your cv or include revelant materials? You don't hide work you've done when you go on the market; you show it.

Administrative experience
I had an administrative assistantship in the summer of 2001 at the Innovative Technology Center at Tennessee; I really need to put that on my CV. Other than that, I'm doing a little committee work this semester, including one of the working groups of the College of Natural Resources / College of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences task force and a committee devoted to purchasing software and other equipment for the department (which is really service, but still). I'll be adding it all in by the time I send my materials out, that's for sure.
