Sweet Valley High returns. You strike me as body-conscious now in a way that goes so far beyond these texts you used to be deeply concerned with interrogating and rhetorically deploying: we know what's changed about you. Has anything changed about them?

Standard sizing
I think the original SVH books, which never failed to point out Elizabeth and Jessica's "perfect size-six figures," referred to size six more in the context of US standard clothing size. Size six in that chart would be like size zero now. So I think the reaction to this little update to the original SVH texts is somewhat overblown. The Wakefield twins are not thinner as a result of the edit (if anything, their bodies are *more* like real teenagers'), and I don't think that was the intention.
